Had a lovely stay here, situated just outside Keswick with views of the fells. Nice clean room with a very comfortable bed and lovely shower room with nice fluffy towels. Tea and coffee making in room and breakfast included ranging from full english to continental, very nicely presented in the dining room. Also dog friendly and can cater for the disabled. Lovely couple that own and run it. I would throughly recommend a stay here if you are in the area

Superb 2 night stay here over the new year. Tea and cake on arrival. We had room 5 upstairs. Nice and quiet. Superb power shower. A glass of bubbly in the guest lounge for NYE. Excellent choice for brekky which is pre order the day before. Superb value for money here considering you are at the foot of Blencathra. Stayed for two nights, friendly and helpful hosts, room was clean and bed comfy. Used the dog friendly room, which has its own door to get outside. Great breakfast and showers which after a day's walking was very welcome!

We stayed here back in February for three nights. Ivan and Helen were great hosts and very welcoming. Brilliant breakfast and lovely room. We highly recommend this place, will be staying again!

We had such an amazing stay at the Scales Farm Country House. The room was very private and comfortably appointed with nice linens. The proprietors, Ivan and Helen felt like family by the end of our stay. They picked us up at the train in Penrith which was super helpful since we did not have a car. We were not there for hiking but most of the guests were and the common area had all kinds of maps and books of the fells in the area.

We stayed 2 nights at scales farm and were made very welcome by Ivan and Helen. They really couldn't do enough for us. The room was spotless and very warm and comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and our spaniel Toby was made a fuss of. Highly recommend a visit 👌

We had a very enjoyable stay at Scales Farm, from the moment we received our very warm welcome from Helen - complete with a pot of tea, ginger cake and biscuits. Throughout our stay we enjoyed comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and friendly hospitality from our hosts Helen and Ivan. The location is excellent for touring around the area, with Keswick only a short drive away. The White Horse Inn next door is also very convenient for evening meals. We would thoroughly recommend this location for a quiet restful holiday and would like to offer our sincere thanks to Helen and Ivan for accommodating us so well.

Stayed with Ivan and Helen for a couple of days this week, lovely welcoming and friendly hosts. Our room was really nice with a county sized comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean throughout, felt very homely with a nice lounge to relax In the evening. Great pub just next door. Ideal location base for walking and cycling, on the coast to coast route, worth pushing on a couple of miles or stopping a little short. Nice breakfast looking out at the garden with a multitude of garden birds on feeders up close, was even joined for breakfast by a red squirrel. Cheers both for a lovely stay.
